July 14 Martin County future land use vote

On Tuesday, July 14 the Martin County Commissioners will consider some very important changes to the way our County is allowed to be developed. The workshop will be held right after the 9:00 a.m. Commission meeting at the Administration Building on Monterey in Stuart.

The Future Group has one opinion on how the County should be developed, while the Martin County Conservation Alliance, Guardians of Martin County and Martin County Defender have another opinion.

All active Democrats and Republicans should be interested in these revisions to the Comprehensive plan. You may want to read up on this issue and go to the meeting July 14 to state your opinion.

You can find out more about the Future Group by going to their website. You can find out more about the Guardians on their website and the Conservation Alliance by emailing Dona Melzer at elzer@gate.net.  The Martin County Defender #111 has information and can be found on the web. Further information may be found on the Martin County website, www.martin.fl.us . Select Growth Management, Comprehensive Planning, EAR Report, then Public Comment for May, June and July, 2009.
