Port Salerno Seafood Festival a Success!

The 1^st Annual Port Salerno Seafood Festival , a benefit for the Rivers Coalition and local commercial fishermen, also benefited the Martin County Democrats. The one day event, held Saturday January 27, attracted thousands of people to the Manatee Pocket venue. Our booth was well-decorated, well-staffed, and well-attended by the public. The response was phenomenal- the political tide is definitely turning in our favor. Keep your eyes peeled for the hundreds of bumper stickers we distributed! Thanks to the following volunteers for making this another successful outreach event: Lani and David Havens (also for the use of their tent), Martha Bennett, Kathy Bishop, Shirley Pizziferri, Doris and Dick Alexander, Ruth and John Fox, Connie Bell, Milly Davis, Kay Williams, Joe Jakstis and Ed Matson. Don't forget to stop by our booth at the Fair February 9-17- we'll have more bumper stickers available.
