Last meeting - Our featured speaker, Janie Holman, President of the Florida Democratic Women’s Club was unable to attend due to a death in the family. Instead, two individuals running for judge in the 19th district gave short speeches identifying their positions and backgrounds. Judge Geiger, has come out of retirement to run again and Fran O. Ross, a local attorney, were interesting presenters. Bill Ramos talked briefly about the amendments which will be on the ballot.

November meeting - This meeting will be a Victory Celebration for the Democratic Party and will be held on November 11th at 5:30 P.M. at the Women’s Club. Tickets for members are $10.00 and for non-members, $15.00. Reservations will be taken until November 9th and can be made by calling Marie Argana, 485-5743. Let’s celebrate together!!!!

Fundraiser- Tickets for The Capitol Steps at the Lyric Theater in January are almost gone!

There may be several tickets available but you might want to act fast. Tickets are $55.00 and may be obtained by calling Marie Argana, 485-5743. What a great way to spend an evening and support the Club at the same time!

Christmas Parade - Our Club will participate in two parades with the Democratic Club in December. The Stuart parade will be December 5th and the Hobe Sound Parade will be the next day, December 6th. We have a committee, headed by Daisy Carter, 2nd Vice President, collaborating with the Democratic Club but will need volunteers on December 5th to decorate the float. If you wish to ride on the float, please contact Daisy or any other board member.

December Meeting - As we did last year, we will celebrate the Holiday Season by having a party which will focus on getting to know one another and our special traditions.

Contributions to Commission Candidates - Our Club donated $100.00 each to Martha Bennett, Linda Green and Tom Fullman.

Nominating Committee - The nominating committee will be chaired by board member, Barbara Robert
